24 hours later

Now I did some quilting and highlighting of the printed ferns I did yesterday. Things are getting better.
Can't wait until the show and Pro Chem.........I need to see the fabric paint, maybe get a few.

I took off the freezer paper and I think you get the idea I am trying to convey?

  1. Thank you for the inspiration! Was thinking about trying some monoprinting since you mentioned that you were going to do some, I've
tried it with thickened dyes, but not in a long time. Went to a new Ocean State Job Lots in my area today where I found a package of two 12' x 15"
flexible cutting "boards". The light bulb went off....hmmmmm, a perfect for small monoprinting surface! I was experimenting with discharge on some dyed fabric today, which didn't come out well, so tried smeering a thin layer of my Profab paint ( from ProChem ) on my new cutting surface and then used the cap of a Sharpie to make a design in the paint. Great result, especially like the second "ghost" print. Tomorrow I will play will silkscreen on top of the monoprint.

  2. Ok, now that I read your description, I'm wondering if I did this right :(
I got the fern print onto the fabric........that is the result I was going for. Technique may just be something else to work on :)
